New Volkswagen e-up!
The multi award-winning Volkswagen up! just got better than ever before and is now available as a fully electric city car known as the Volkswagen e-up! The new e-up! is now available to order from Pulman Volkswagen in Durham and Sunderland, so why not visit your local Volkswagen retailer and order today.
Electric Range and Charging
The new Volkswagen e-up! offers up to 162 miles of electric range (based on WLTP) which is more than enough to last you through a typical work week before you need to charge your e-up! again. The e-up is cost-effective to run and like most electric vehicles, are a lot cheaper to run than a petrol/diesel car. Read more about the costs associated with owning an EV.
Depending which charging point you have access to, when using CCS fast charging, you can charge the battery from zero to around 80% battery charge in around one hour. The conventional 7.2kW AC charger will provide the same amount of charge in around four hours; so, if your place of work provides charging points you could charge your e-up! whilst you’re working. Find out how long it takes to charge an electric car.
If you do find that you’re running low on electric miles, there are charging points in many towns and cities. You can download smartphone applications such as Zap-Map, Pod Point, Chargemaster and Ecotricity which all show you where the closest charging points are.
Design & Features
The new Volkswagen e-up! is stylish and filled with the latest innovative technology and features. The updated exterior certainly makes this city car stand out on the road; it features C-signature LED lights which frame the front grille and there’s also blue and chrome strips below the bonnet lip which emphasises the electric feel of the Volkswagen e-up!
Whilst driving, the e-up ensures your safety and comfort come first. There’s heated front seats (perfect for the typical British weather system), 2zone electronic air conditioning, rain sensors, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors with a rear-view camera. Plus, if that’s not enough, there’s a 5” Colour screen which features DAB digital radio and Bluetooth, so you can connect your smartphone and stay connected with friends and family safely whilst you drive.
The new electric e-up! also comes with a three year subscription to Car-Net App Connect; this app allows you to manage your remote charging, interior climatisation, departure time programming and car status.
